Caldaro

Caldaro (German Kaltern an der Weinstrasse) is one of the most famous South Tyrol holidays destination thanks to its lake, where it’s possible to swim from May till October. Beyond swimming, it’s possible to sail, to windsurf, to row; windsurfing is very popular here, thanks to the winds blowing regularly from the Garda Lake every afternoon. The lake freezes in winter and it’s possible to skate on it. Caldaro is also famous thanks to its Mediterranean landscapes; the first impression of many guests is in fact “We are already in the South”!
