Cortaccia

Cortaccia (German Kurtatsch an der Weinstrasse) is located at 300 meters of altitude. The following hamlets are also part of Cortaccia: Corona (German Graun), Favogna (German Fennberg) and Penone (German Penon). Well- trained hikers will like the hiking trip in South Tyrol which starts in Cortaccia downtown and leads to the Monte Favogna; the difference in height is of 850 meters and it lasts 5 hours, to go and to come back. As this hiking trip is quite challenging, the best seasons to organize it are spring and fall. Culture lovers spending their holidays in South Tyrol can visit the “Uomo nel tempo “ (Mankind in time) museum, which illustrates the history of mankind along the centuries.
